FIRST WEEKENDS

Santa Cruz starts each month with First Weekends, beginning with the First Friday Art Tour and ending with a weekend packed with Santa Cruz County' most talented Artists.

Santa Cruz galleries and artist studios open their doors each First Weekend to art, music, and food the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each month. First Weekends makes its monthly return to showcase spectacular works of art created locally in the unique galleries and studios of Santa Cruz. Come to Santa Cruz the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each month and enjoy, see and buy the work of Santa Cruz' many brilliant and talented Artists during First Weekends.

FIRST FRIDAYS

"The First Friday Art Tour.  Every First Friday of the month  from 5:30 until 9:30pm buses will guide individuals to all of the latest art openings and happenings in the greater downtown area.  Leaving every 20 minutes from 12 Art Bus Stops, the bus allows First Friday Art goers the opportunity to customize where they get on and where they get off at each of the participating galleries and museums.  $5 gets you an unlimited ride on the Art Tour Bus, a certificate allowing you 10% off the purchase of original art during First Friday and a host of offers and discounts by participating sponsors."
