Kowhaus is an SCICA project started in June 2005 at the future site of the Tannery Arts Center, an 8.5 acre Arts complex that will bring to Santa Cruz affordable housing for artists and their families, studio space, exhibition and performance space. Kowhaus, five months in the making has brought large scale cows to this site to exemplify the real world contribution an arts community can make to supporting positive growth within a community.
